Sarah Nakato
Born and raised in Kampala, Sarah founded Shake's Travel with a vision to showcase Uganda's natural beauty while supporting local communities.
Uganda's premier eco-friendly adventure travel company, committed to sustainable tourism and conservation since 2012
Founded in 2012 by Sarah Nakato, a passionate conservationist and Uganda native, Shake's Travel began with a simple yet powerful vision: to share Uganda's incredible natural beauty while ensuring its preservation for future generations.
Growing up in Kampala, Sarah witnessed firsthand the challenges facing Uganda's wildlife and communities. She recognized that sustainable tourism could be a powerful force for positive change, creating economic opportunities while funding conservation efforts.
What started as small group tours to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest has grown into Uganda's leading eco-friendly adventure travel company, but our core mission remains unchanged: authentic experiences that benefit travelers, communities, and the environment.
